LiquidPiston, the developer of a new internal combustion engine,
announced today that Dr. Ed Crow has been appointed to the
company?s Board of Advisors. Dr. David (Ed) Crow has had an
accomplished career in engine development, as Senior Vice President at Pratt & Whitney,
and more recently on the faculty of the University of Connecticut?s
School of Engineering, where he is a Distinguished Professor-in-Residence.

LiquidPiston, the developer of a new internal combustion engine,
announced today that the Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
program has awarded the company a Phase I grant for $70,000. The
grant will be used for engine research and development to be
performed over 6 months, with an additional $50,000 3-month Option.
Upon the successful
completion of Phase I, LiquidPiston may be awarded
up to an additional $750,000 for Phase II.

This achievement was featured in a two page spread in the Wall Street Journal (4/18/06), and other publications. The GE DOW Jones Environmental Business Plan Challenge's mission is to find great business ideas that combine environmental innovation and profitability. The winner will be announced in May and will receive $50,000 in seed money

LiquidPiston exhibited at an Innovation Day, sponsored by the CT Alliance for CT Technology, held at the CT Convention Center, in Hartford, CT, on September 28, 2005.

Dr. Shkolnik and Alexander Shkolnik presented the LiquidPiston engine technology at the Automotive Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Internal Combustion Engine Division 2005 Fall Technical Conference (ICEF2005) in Ottawa, Canada. Their paper, detailing the technical benefits of the engine, will be published in the Spring 2006 publication of ICEF2005-1221.
